When you replace inefficient lightbulbs in your home with newer, longer-lasting LED bulbs, what do you do with the old bulbs? When it comes to CFL bulbs, it's important to recycle them in free recycling bins at stores like Lowe's and Home Depot, since they contain mercury. Be sure to recycle old neon lights and industrial bulbs in those bins, too. When it comes to incandescent and halogen bulbs, those should not be recycled in the bins; they contain no mercury and can be thrown away in the trash when they burn out.
