Even though the bathroom is often the smallest room in the house, it is usually the largest breeding ground for unhealthy mold. The reason? Mold loves damp, dark places, and with the combination of steamy showers and lack of lighting, you've got the perfect environment for it. To keep your bathroom healthy, be sure to use the bathroom ventilation. When you are showering and taking a bath, keep the ventilation running the entire time. And when you are done, keep it going for at least 30 minutes to properly remove the excess moisture from the air. Keep the shower free of loofahs, kids' toys and even bottles of shampoo; all of those nooks and crevices are perfect spots for mold to grow and thrive.

Some of the biggest culprits of accidents on roadways in America are deer-car collisions. But the majority of the accidents aren't from hitting the deer the driver sees darting across the road; it's from another deer that quickly followed the one the driver missed. If you see a deer running across the street, there is a high statistical chance another one will be right behind. Slow down and be aware of the second deer.

Have metal hangers from the dry cleaner? Technically, they are recyclable in most curbside recycling bins (because they have a percentage of recyclable steel), but the reality is that most recyclers don't want them -- they can get snagged on recycling equipment. Most dry cleaners now accept the hangers and will reuse them. But you might want to hang onto a few: There are tutorials online of people using the hangers to make snakes to unclog drains. In a plumbing emergency, one wire hanger could come in quite handy.
