If you've accidentally spilled nail polish onto a wood surface, the natural reaction might be to use nail polish remover to lift the stain. The problem? It will remove the protective coating, finish and stain on the wood. Instead, reach for a bottle of spray deodorant. Let the nail polish harden and then spray the deodorant on top. Let it soak for about 30 seconds and wipe away. The deodorant has solvents that soften tough stains but aren't so strong they strip varnish. Which should also make you question: Is a substance that strong really something you want to use on your body?
