Clear plastic egg cartons can do more than just protect your farm-fresh organic eggs; they can also help you start a garden, too. Fill the compartment with potting soil, seeds and water; then close up the container to create a mini greenhouse for your seeds. The warm, moist environment created inside the carton is exactly what the seeds need to germinate and grow so they can be transplanted into the garden.

While we all know that using a reusable bottle is the greenest choice to stay hydrated, sometimes you just forget to bring it with you. While an electric razor is the greenest option to use, many people simply cannot give up their disposable razor for a close, clean shave. If you're that person, do this one green thing: Give up your shaving cream and try hair conditioner instead. Using a double-duty product cuts back on waste and clutter: Conditioner has many of the same emollient properties of shaving cream, but the plastic container is a commonly recyclable plastic, too.
