Traveling during the summer months often means jamming your suitcase with as much clothing as possible. For many people, it's like dragging your entire closet to your destination! The reality is this: The heavier your suitcases, the more fuel a plane needs to fly. If you're someone who wears only a small percentage of what you pack, consider taking less on your next journey to help cut back on fuel.

If you've amassed a massive collection of wine corks, here's a fun upcycling idea: Turn them into a functional bath mat. Pick up a large shadowbox frame from the craft store, which is about the size of a bath mat. Then remove the clear front cover; fill it with corks standing upright until the entire box is full, not completely jammed. That's it! Cork is naturally absorbent, soft to the touch and anti-microbial.

An eye gel mask in the refrigerator can be a great way to chill sore eyes on stressful days. But it can also be a great way to keep bottles of wine cold when entertaining outdoors. Simply wrap the eye mask around the bottles and use the Velcro strips to keep it in place. It'll keep the wine cool and look like a masked party guest all at the same time.
