Warmer weather means our vegetable drawers in the refrigerator will be filled with all sorts of delicious produce. To keep the drawers dry and odor-free, line them with newspaper. The paper will absorb both excess moisture and odor and help keep your fruits and veggies fresher, longer.

The next time you plan a picnic in the park, remember to bring one more thing: a bar of rosemary, citronella or lemongrass soap. All of these essential oils are natural mosquito repellants and can help keep the pesky creatures away from your outdoor bash. You can even rub a little of the soap on your skin as a natural repellant as well.

We know the benefits of having live houseplants in the home because they help absorb toxins and release fresh oxygen back into the air. But for many of us, houseplants can be hard to maintain or keep alive. Even though houseplants look great on top of bookshelves or in guest bedrooms, they aren't readily accessible or are in easily forgotten rooms. One tip is to keep them in areas that are accessible and easy to water: in a bathroom or kitchen are good places.
