And it can also be fun: Most rail cars are outfitted with electric outlets and comfy seats, which can make getting to your destination just as pleasant as your arrival.

When choosing seeds and plants, try to pick some heirloom vegetable and flower varieties. As more and more plants become ubiquitous around the country, it's important to keep these rare heirloom varieties alive. The easiest way is to grow them yourself in your own backyard.
