Many people have seasonal artificial wreaths and store them after the holiday season. Since an artificial wreath can get dusty quickly and can be hard to clean, it's important to cover it with plastic to keep it protected. Recycle a plastic dry cleaner bag and hanger into a quick and easy storage solution: Place the wreath on the hanger, wrap it in the plastic, tie a knot and hang it on the back of a door or in a hallway closet.

Be sure to replace your furnace filter on a regular basis when it's time to either replace it or wash it. A dirty filter forces the furnace to work harder and a clogged filter won't keep out allergen particles from your air, too. Set an automatic reminder on your smart phone device or calendar to alert you.
