I love finding new uses for old things and that includes all the splurges I've made on infomercial products. Grab that George Foreman Grill and repurpose it to grill fresh fruit. Imagine halved peaches, warmed on the grill and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum!

Grilling corn on the cob but don't have holders to keep fingers protected? Look to the backyard: Clip fresh twigs and sharpen them in a pencil sharpener. Insert the twigs into the ends of the corn and you've got instant holders. When you're finished, just toss the sticks back into the yard.

Here's a tasty alternative to plastic straws. Instead of using non-biodegradable disposable straws, use Twizzlers instead! Just snip the ends of each Twizzler and insert into the beverage. There's a hole running down the middle of the candy that let's you sip away. When the drink's gone, the fun isn't; you can eat the candy. Isn't this a great idea for a kid's party?
