If you wear baseball caps (or know someone who does), they can become smelly and dirty rather quickly, especially if you make a habit of working out while wearing one. Washing a baseball cap is obviously greener than buying a new one, but how do you do it without ruining its shape? Your dishwasher, of course. Just place it inside your dishwasher sans detergent and run it on a regular cycle. After washing, stuff the inside with newspaper and let it air-dry. Good as new!

When stocking up on snacks at the grocery store, think organic. There is a wide variety of yummy chips, crackers and cookies made with certified organic ingredients. While these salty and sweet snacks may not be as healthy (or dietetic) as fruits and veggies, at least they're made using ingredients grown without chemical pesticides and fertilizers. And that'll help you feel a tiny bit better when you snack away.

If the great outdoors is driving you buggy, think twice before installing one of those electric bug zappers. The zappers are pretty much useless in getting rid of mosquitoes from your backyard; in fact, they actually attract more mosquitoes to your yard. The mosquitoes are first attracted to the light, but once they get wind of carbon dioxide coming from your breath, they head straight to you and away from the light. Since mosquitoes like stagnant air, turn on a fan; it'll cool you down and keep them away.
