Remove distractions from your bedroom such as cell phones, PDAs, bright alarm clocks and other electronic items. All of these items are distractions that take away from giving you a truly restful sleep. Also, some scientists believe electronic items in the bedroom create a potentially harmful electromagnetic field, which could be linked to health problems. Be safe and dedicate your room to sleep.

Disinfect your telephone. Germs build up on your phone, which can rub against your face and cause it to break out. These germs can also make you sick. So take a cotton ball, dip it in rubbing alcohol, and rub it on the phone to kill all those nasty germs.

If you filter tap water in an effort to cut back on plastic bottled water usage, good for you! But when it comes time to replace those carbon filters, don't toss them into the trash. Save them for household hazardous waste pickup and dispose of them properly. The carbon filters actually do a great job in removing harmful metals from water, but by throwing them in the trash you risk reintroducing those metals right back into the waterways.
