There's one simple thing you can do to help support critical honeybee colonies: Plant more blue and violet flowers. Researchers found honeybees are naturally attracted to blue and purple-hued flowers, and they produce more nectar as a result. Over time, bees have naturally preferred certain colors, and blue and purple are the clear winners. And as always, never use chemical insecticides and fertilizers in your garden when planting these deep-hued buds.
