If you've made too much oatmeal for your morning breakfast, save it for an evening facial mask. Simply mix 1/2 cup of cooked oatmeal, 1 whole egg and a tablespoon of almond oil together. Slather it on your face for 15 minutes and clean it off with cool water. Oatmeal is a beauty wonder because it helps calm and neutralize both oily and super-dry skin.

As the air outside gets cooler, inefficient windows you haven't had the money or time to replace can be made more efficient with one simple material: bubble wrap. Use a spray bottle full of water to mist the window; place a piece of bubble wrap on top. It will stick to the window all fall and winter, creating a "greenhouse effect." The air bubbles keep cool air out and allow sunlight to still streak in.
