If your garbage disposal smells funny, don't pour toxic chlorine bleach down the drain. Instead, think tomato soup. Tomatoes can neutralize odor -- like washing the family dog with canned tomatoes after he's been sprayed by a skunk -- so they'll do wonders with your garbage disposal. Let the soup sit in the drain for a while before washing it away with regular water.

Inkjet cartridges are both expensive and some seem to run out of ink very quickly. Instead of buying new cartridges each time, consider getting them refilled for a fraction of the cost. Walgreens, a national pharmacy chain, offers a quick and easy refill service for both black and color cartridges.

When it's time to replace your threadbare towels with new ones, be sure to donate your old towels so they'll be put to good use. Animal shelters are in constant need of old towels to use as bedding for dogs and can also be used for cleanup throughout the shelter.
