When staying at a hotel, you might wonder what happens to bars of soap that you barely use during your visit. Turns out more than 8,000 hotels and resorts participate in a program called Clean the World, which collects barely used soap bars and recycles them into new bars to help save lives all over the world. Hotel chains like Holiday Inn, the Intercontinental and Hotel Indigo (and countless others) send their soaps, which are sanitized, ground down and made into new bars. Over 70 million bars of soap have been distributed to 127 countries since 2009.
