As the weather outside gets colder, small animals like mice, snakes and squirrels will begin looking for warmer areas to nest, including inside your home. One way to help prevent this is to simply do an inspection of your house's exterior. Look for small cracks and areas where animals can slip in, like around pipes, air conditioners and faucets. Are your screens intact and tight? Use caulking to fix gaps and repair screens so you have tight barriers and no openings for these wild animals to slip through.
