It's important to wash your wooden cutting board every time you use it to dice, chop and slice whatever you're cooking. All you need is warm water, soap and a scrub brush to give it a thorough cleaning. Always wash both sides of the board; often we just scrub the part we used, leaving the underside dry. Because water causes wood to swell, an uneven amount of water in the cutting board can cause swelling that warps the board.
