Tip: Bring your clean, laundered clothes on individual hangers. Also bring your out-of-season clothes (e.g. fall clothes in summer), since consignment stores sell clothes just like regular retail shops.
Resell good-quality designer clothing you no longer wear at a local consignment store. Then these stores will resell your clothes and usually split the proceeds 50/50 with you. Sometimes you can either take cash for your clothes or earn more money in the form of store credit to shop for new duds. It's up to you.
Start a "freebie" office supply drawer in your kitchen. Place empty, clean takeout containers in the drawer and designate each one for a specific office supply. When you buy fresh flowers, save the rubber bands; save paper clips from the mail; keep twist-ties from your produce bags and anything else you might use. Anytime you need something, you'll have a stash of supplies ready to go.
