2008 Presidential Odds

Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill. ......................even

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. .......................3/2

Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y. ....................8/1

Between the Lines: It's all over but the shouting. And the shouting is coming from Sen. Hillary Clinton's camp. The senator from New York insists that she will fight on until the nomination is decided, even though she cannot beat Sen. Barack Obama in the elected delegate count and, most likely, the popular vote.

Clinton needed to win the Indiana primary big, and lose in North Carolina by a small percentage. In reality, it was just the opposite. Obama crushed Clinton in North Carolina by double digits, and lost in Indiana by just a hair. At the moment, Obama is just slightly ahead of Sen. John McCain, but Clinton has dropped all the way down to 8/1.
